Curling time is here
Recently Lyndsay and I joined the curling league. While we have only curled a few times now, I have to say I am not all that good - but what do I expect, it's the first time I have ever curled. I never would have anticipated that there is actually exercise involved in curling. On TV they make it look so easy, but in real life you get a decent work out running back and forth on that ice.
The sport is more difficult that the pros make it look, but I have to say its lots of fun. We are on the same team as Phil and Maureen, and they are great to play with. They have the same sort of sense of humor as Lyndsay and I, and the same outlook on the game. They are both there to have fun as are we, the only difference is they actually know what they are doing. Phil comes complete with all his own gear, and previous experience, so needless to say he's our skip.
At any rate, its nice to be a part of something. In such a small community it makes a real difference. Besides, its fun :)
